Tasting Note
From Gisborne on the North Island of New Zealand. This is a fab wine with honeysuckle aromas mingling with aromatic notes of tropical fruit and hints of herbaceousness. On the palate, it has passionfruit and summer melon fruit with a touch of dried herbs. Finishes rich and full. Delicious.

Kirsten and Richard bought the Matawhero winery from it’s founder and pioneer winemaker Denis Irwin in 2008.
The Single Vineyard range – a selection of the very best vineyard sites in Gisborne from three distinct sub regions; Riverpoint, Hexton Hills and Patutahi. The wines are fruit-driven and approachable and they display the palate weight and texture that Gisbourne is renowned for.
